Pantymeillion Holiday Cottages are situated within 9 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of Red Kite country, yet so near the coast that you can even see the sea from the property. Its grounds boast of its own river which flows into the picturesque Furnace Pond. If you enjoy romantic walks among nature then this is sure to be for you. The river runs through a wooded valley and is ideal for a secluded walk and even nature watching with its rich habitat. Within walking distance is also the stunning Swiss Valley reservoir as well as the scenic Furnace pond.
Or if walking and nature watching is not so much for you, then perhaps the undisturbed relaxation of sunbathing is. With nothing but the view of the spectacular valley and beautiful shrubbed garden surrounded by trees and the only sound that of nature around you, with the birds and butterflies as your only disturbance, and the scent of freshly cut grass, flowers and faunas in the air.
The Granary sleeps four people and has one king sized bed and two single beds. The Master bedroom has its’ own private decking with views of the valley and even the sea with Worm’s head of Rhosili beach in the backdrop. Whichever way you look, you will behold beauty. The Twin room sits in the attic and is partially open to the top of the stairs.
The Granary also has a large, Amdega wooden conservatory extended onto it complete with heated floors and beautiful furniture. This room is an ideal sun-trap with spectacular views which opens up onto the patio and private swimming pool. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen and large bathroom, this cottage is sure to delight you.
The Granary has access to its own private decking, and also it shares the large heated pool with guests from The Barn.
The Barn itself is 300 years old and is currently being lovingly renovated to create the perfect getaway for couples. It has a traditional wood burning stove within its original fireplace, stocked with freshly chopped logs for your own use, and the whole barn retains a unique character which hints at its history with its original wooden beams and stone walls evident throughout this spacious cottage.
The Barn also has its own private decking, and shares the large heated pool with guests from The Granary.
The Barn and Granary
Due to popular demand, we can offer a deal where you can book the Granary and the Barn for 6 people in which you can have exclusive access to the 30x15ft, heated swimming pool. Surrounding the pool is a private patio and decking area, ideal for BBQing in the warm summer days, when you can enjoy total and undisturbed privacy for as long as you desire.
The Coach House
Alternatively, the Coach House is another idyllic cottage. It ideal for a couple or a small family, yet sleeps 5, with one double bed and three singles. It is also full of character with its original beams in-tact, stone walls and wood-burning stove all on display.
It also has a private decking with views of the valley and the sea in the backdrop. The coach house has a cosy and quaint romantic feel to it and is an ideally situated cottage for those who are searching for peace and quiet as well as access to the beautiful nature all around it.
We are located in the County of Carmarthenshire, which is known as the garden of Wales, and has 1,000 square miles of the most beautiful coastal and inland areas. Wales has also recently been voted number 8 out of the top ten places to visit in the world.
We are positioned nearby the magnificent coast of the Gower Peninsula, Britain’s first ever area of natural designated beauty and soon to become a National Park. Rhosilli beach, which can be seen from Pantymeillion, is ranked in one of the top ten beaches of the world and is easily accessible from the cottages.
On our other side, are the spectacular seascapes of the Pembrokeshire Coastline, including the historic and picturesque fishing towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot. Even closer are the Dylan Thomas Boathouse in Laughrne and the Llansteffan beach and castle.
Indeed, Carmarthenshire boasts of more castles than any other county in the world! If you are looking to explore and experience what the history books can only try and capture, then these castles are calling you to explore.
In Llanelli itself is the prestigious Machynys Golf Club which was designed by Jack Nicklaus himself. It is complete with a spa, clubhouse and fabulous sea views over the Burry Estuary. Here you can play and compete as well as enjoy various spa treatments and use of their hydro spa and enjoy their delicious food.
A little further along the same estuary is also the Penclacwydd Wildfowl and Wetland area for those who enjoy bird watching and exploring nature.
Within a ten minute drive’ is Pembrey Country park with the European Blue flag awarded beach Cefn Sidan, with its 7 miles of white powdered sands. ‘Sidan’ is welsh for silk, and as this beach is luxuriously named, so it is in nature. The Pembrey Country Park has something for the whole family; from a train ride to children’s playing areas, a dry ski slope and tobogganing as well as the 50 acres of wooded forestry which merges onto its stunning beach. This park is a favourite amongst both locals and tourists alike.
The Millennium Coastal path is also easily accessible by foot or bike directly from the cottages, so if you enjoy cycling or walking, there are miles and miles of stunning coastal scenery for you to explore.
There are quaint local pubs which boast of the welsh culture around every corner, as well as a multitude of other attractions, whether you want to visit the horse racing at Ffos Las, go surfing at one of the many nearby beaches or visit the National Botanical Garden Centre, there is something here for everyone.

Please note the pool is seasonal, it is closed in the Autumn and reopens in the Spring. The pool is heated via an air source heat pump and optimum water temperature cannot be guaranteed and is dependent on the prevailing weather conditions of the time.
